Dottie Ruth Thames Hill, 94, passed from this life on March 17, 2021. She was born to Walter S. Thames and Dottie Ruth Ward Thames.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 72 years, James Edison Hill; her parents; her in-laws, John C. and Zora Ann Hill; her son, John Patrick Hill and his wife, Mary Hill; a grandson, John Clifton Hill; sisters, Audrey Pauline Cain, Gussie Norton, Jessie Nettles, Ethel Boyd, Madge Thames, Helen Eady, Eulyce Eady, Nell Case, Betty Fay Jones; and her brothers, John Thames, Ray Thames, Ward Thames, and Dave Thames.
Survivors are her son, Gregory Matthew Hill and his wife, Sheila; a daughter Sandra Kay Newman; her grandchildren, Carmen Elizabeth Hill, Holly Suzette Clem, Scotty Boyte, Paige Boyte, Justin Boyte, and Lesli Anne Hill; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
