Daniel Stuart Williamson
Funeral services for Daniel Stuart Williamson were held March 8, 2021, at Oakvale Baptist Church. Dan passed away March 5 at the age of 88. Rev. Eddie Myers and Rev. Darrell Daniels officiated.
Dan was born March 27, 1932, to Robert Lee and Clydie Daniels Williamson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Autherine Gardner Williamson; his mother-in-law, Irene Gardner; his second wife, Coyce Hathorn Myers Williamson; his sister, Bobbie Williamson Branton; and his step son-in-law, Wayne Sanders.
Dan is survived by two sons, Danny (Barbara) Williamson, of Monticello; and Johnny (Rachael) Williamson, of Hepzibah; two granddaughters, Tory (Travis) Watts and Allie (Johanna) Williamson; three great-grandchildren, Leigh-Addison, Austin, and Ava Watts. Dan also leaves behind three brothers, Don (Eva), Jim (Clara), and Jerry (Norma) Williamson. Left to also remember Dan are three stepchildren, Eddie (Wanda) Myers, Jan Sanders, and Sandra (Harry Joe) Martin; six step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Dan was at his happiest when he was driving a truck or a tractor. He could also be heard actually telling someone how to garden.
Serving as pallbearers were Austin Watts, Travis Watts, Josh McCormick, Waygon Sanders, Simeion Langston, and Wilbur Freeman.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were the many friends and neighbors who helped Dan on his hay farm by keeping all of his tractors and equipment running throughout the years.
