Geraldine Faye Barnes

A funeral service for Geraldine Faye Barnes was held Jan. 20, 2021, at Monticello Baptist Church, with burial in Monticello Municipal Cemetery. Riverwood Family handled arrangements.
Mrs. Barnes, 82, of Monticello, passed away Jan. 19. She was born Sept. 22, 1938, in Sontag, to William Purvis Gibson and Agnes Keene Gibson. She was co-owner of Western Auto Associate in Monticello for 26 years and a member of Monticello Baptist Church. She enjoyed several hobbies, camping, traveling, tennis, fishing, playing bridge, and sports. She was also a member of the Coterie Club.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Allen Barnes; and her parents.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Clifford Dale Barnes; daughter, Sharon Stamps; sister, JoAnne Williams; one granddaughter, Jennifer Davis (Barry); two great-granddaughters, Claire Keyes and Emma Keyes; as well as other loving family members and friends.
