Mrs. Boutwell, 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 2. She was born on March 25, 1944, in Brookhaven, to the late Florell Lee Beaudry and Richard Charles Beaudry.
Deanna was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She and her late husband, Gary Seale Boutwell Sr., owned and operated Carpet Corner in Brookhaven and Monticello for over 30 years. Deanna was an avid animal lover, and she held fast to the Bible verse Proverbs 12:10. She loved painting and creating artwork, as well as traveling the United States with her husband and puppies. While she enjoyed these things, spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren brought her the most joy.
Everyone who knew her loved her; and once you met her, you did not forget her. Her beautiful, contagious smile will be remembered by many, as well as her comical personality. She was truly a smart, strong woman of God.
Preceding her in death were her parents and husband of 56 years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Michele D’Antoni Smith (Mitchell); son, Gary Seale Boutwell Jr. (Susan); brother-in-law, Maxie Boutwell; sister-in-law, Judy Boutwell; along with five grandchildren, Weston Benson Boutwell (Annie), Rachel Boutwell Brister (Gage), Anna Beth Smith, Emily Grace Boutwell, and Kyleigh Elizabeth Boutwell; two precious great-grandchildren, Noah Gage Brister and Joseph Benson Boutwell; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
