The Refuge Community Christmas Tree Lighting

On Dec. 4, The Refuge in Jayess held a Community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, which also featured a live nativity and other activities. From Becky Thornhill and all the Refuge family: “2020 has certainly been a year of loss; loss of family, loss of friends, loss of jobs, loss of businesses, and loss of life as we have always known it. But one thing 2020 cannot take from us with all its surprises is the gift of Christmas – the gift of love, hope, forgiveness, and salvation for us all. This gift is not confined to religion or to the walls of a church building but extends to the bars and the ghettos and the darkest places on Earth, seeking those who feel hopeless, lost, and alone. From our hearts to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and may the new year bring much healing in every way to us all.”
