Zita “JoAnn” Killingsworth
Zita “JoAnn” Killingsworth, 76, of Monticello, passed away on Sept. 9, 2020, at Merritt Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg. JoAnn was born March 14, 1944, in Tylertown, to Curtis and Myrtis Burns McCloud.
Funeral services were held Sept. 12 at Divide Methodist Protestant Church. Bro. Carlos Dawson, Bro. LaDon Dawson, and Bro. Matt Lambert officiated the services, with Wilson Funeral Home handling arrangements.
Pallbearers were Scotty McCloud, Gary McCloud, Eugene Hammond, Josh Hammond, Amber Allen, and Trey Faust. Honorary pallbearers were Wyman Hammond and Homer Lang.
JoAnn was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was retired from Kellwood Manufacturing as an inspector. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, her flowers and garden, and helping anyone who was in need. She was a member of Divide Methodist Protestant Church in Monticello.
Those preceding her in death were her parents; son, David Killingsworth; and brothers, Larue and Burns McCloud.
JoAnn is survived by her husband, Bro. Kenneth Wayne Killingsworth, of Monticello; daughter, Anita Hammond, of Monticello; son, Keith Killingsworth (Shanta), of Monticello; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister, Kay Lang; and brother, William “Buddy” McCloud.
If anyone wants to send flowers, tie a balloon in them or send a balloon bouquet; she wanted a lot of balloons to celebrate her homegoing.
