Harold Caul

Funeral services for Harold Caul, 73, of Jayess were held Aug. 1, 2020, at Divide Memorial Methodist Protestant Church in Monticello. Burial followed in the Tilton Cemetery in Jayess. Bro. LaDonn Dawson officiated the services, with Wilson Funeral Home handling arrangements. He passed from this life on July 30 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg.
Pallbearers were Ben Bonvillain, Dylan Hancock, Cory Swain, Bubba Letchworth, Bob Wood, and Eban Robbins.
Mr. Caul was born on Aug. 20, 1946, in Tylertown, to Harry and Mildred Hammond Caul. He had an awe-inspiring life filled with serving his country in Vietnam through the U.S. Army and later National Guard Army, and loving his family and friends, of which he had many. He loved to laugh, sing, dance, and be a jokester. He had a big heart, a big smile, and would help anyone. He will be forever remembered for his chicken-on-a-stick, Elvis impersonations, love of singing in the church, carpentry projects, mail delivery route, and love of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has touched and inspired more than he will ever know and will be forever loved and missed.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Patricia Brister Caul; sister, Mary Ann Wood.
Survivors are his wife, Lura Lee Rutland Caul; daughters, Milly Bonvillain, Susan Caul; step-children Pam Alexander, Timothy Letchworth; sisters, Yetta England, Harriett Robbins, Joan Burt; brother, Champ Caul; six grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren.
