Vendors sought for farmers market

Plans are underway to create a farmers market at Cooper’s Ferry Park in Monticello, and vendors are being sought to sell items like homegrown fruits and vegetables, and homemade jellies and jams.
A start date has not been set, but will be as soon as enough vendors have registered. The market will take place 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and Saturdays, depending on farmer participation.
Booth spaces are free, and vendors must bring their own tables. To reserve a space, call Monticello City Hall at 601-587-0045.
