REMEMBERING THOSE WHO SERVE – Emma Lea helps the Abner W. Cooper Memorial Post 27 of the American Legion place the final touch to the post’s Memorial Day display on the Lawrence County Courthouse lawn. The post membership hopes everyone took a moment to observe what this past Memorial Day is truly all about. Many in the county have a military legacy within their community or directly within their own family and the younger ones certainly need to know of their own connections.
