Helen Barber

Graveside services for Helen Barber were held May 14, 2020, at Wanilla Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello. Bro. Billy Joe Deer officiated the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Helen, 85, of Monticello, passed from this life on May 11 at Silver Cross Health & Rehab in Brookhaven. Helen was born on December 13, 1934, in Silver Creek, to Orange Andrew and Olivia Stephens White.
Helen retired from the Department of Human Services as a social worker after 19 years. Helen graduated from Monticello High School in 1953, then attended Co-Lin in 1955 and then earned her BS Degree from Whitworth College. Helen was a longtime member of Wanilla Baptist Church for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She will be missed by everyone.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, James “Toxie” Barber; and one son, Blake Harrison Barber.
Survivors are her son, Scott Barber, of Loyd Star; and special friend, Lisa Smith Stewart ; granddaughters, Janet Morris (Mike), Mary Helen Barber (Chad), Amanda C. Barber (Lindsay); great-granddaughters, Jayde and Rose Morris; great-grandsons, Gavin, Keenan, Gaelan, Aidan and Adrien Morris; and two special adopted great-grandchildren, Colt and Gennings Stewart.
Pallbearers were Bob Jarrell, Tony Jarrell, Rick Davis, Dr. Tim Lea, Lannie Stewart, and Rodney White.
Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Stephens, Jimmy Stephens, Dr. James Stephens, Charles Robbins, and Harold White.
