Alvin Beall McCardle
Alvin Beall McCardle, 82, passed away at his home in Hazlehurst on April 30, 2020.
He was born January 7, 1938, to the late Louie Milton Sr. and Virgie Pearl Beall McCardle.
A private graveside service was held on May 4 at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. Opening prayer was by Bro. Billy Barnes. The message was given by Bro. Matt Lambert, and special music was by Cameron McCardle, both grandsons of Mr. McCardle. Riverwood Funeral Home in Brookhaven oversaw arrangements.
Pallbearers included Nick Lambert, Jamie McCardle, Andy Bates, Cameron McCardle, Warren Furches, and Holden Kaiser. Honorary Pallbearers were Tony Bates and Joseph McCardle.
Mr. McCardle was a retired long-haul truck driver. He loved playing his guitars and listening to bluegrass music. He also loved keeping up with his children and grandchildren. Alvin was the person in his family and circle of friends who kept everyone informed of recent news. He was a kind and generous man that never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brothers; infant Marsel McCardle; Milton McCardle Jr.; Van Elliot McCardle; and Harold (Hal) Burnell McCardle.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolyn McCardle; daughters, Darlene Bates and husband Joe, of Wesson; and Diane Lambert and husband Mark, of Monticello;; son, Marcel McCardle and wife Brenda, of Monticello; stepdaughters, Angie Kaiser and husband Karl, of Mission, Texas; and Trish Rash and husband Kenny, of Dawson, Texas; seven grandsons, Matt Lambert, Jamie McCardle, Cameron McCardle, and Joseph McCardle, of Monticello; Tony Bates and Andy Bates, of Wesson; and Nick Lambert, of Petal; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Case, of Brookhaven; Holden Kaiser, of Mission, Texas; Warren Furches, of Allen, Texas; and Lexie Nowell, of Dawson, Texas; and great-step-grandson, JT Case of Brookhaven.
