Light a heart for healthcare workers and first responders

Southern Pine Electric, along with people across America, wants to show support and encouragement for all healthcare workers and first responders with lighted hearts in yards across its service area and Mississippi.Simply dig out your Christmas lights and light up in support. Everyone can help light the way for these brave men and women who are battling COVID-19 and taking care of our friends and family members.
If people are unable to light a heart at this time, they can also tie a blue ribbon around a mailbox, tree, or fence post. Blue ribbons show support to our health care workers and first responders during COVID-19 crisis. Remember, with social distancing, members are not encouraged to go out and buy ribbon but many may have some at home, Southern Pine encourages everyone to use their imagination to spread the light and love together.
“We are beyond grateful for our healthcare workers and first responders and as a small gesture to show them how much the communities appreciate their valiant efforts, we encourage everyone to participate by lighting a heart in their yard or finding a place for a blue ribbon,” says Jan Collins, Vice President of Communications and Government Relations at Southern Pine Electric.
