Ollie Lee Watson

Graveside services were held Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Quinn Temple Church of God in Christ, Monticello, for Ollie Watson, 87, who died Thursday, March 19, 2020, at his residence. Elder Stanley Bridges officiated. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ollie Lee Watson, also known as Hoover, was born to the late Della and Primus Watson in Lawrence County. He lived in Chicago, Ill., for 45 years and returned to Monticello. He was a member of Quinn Temple Church of God in Christ where he supported his elders and was always willing to help. He loved building and beautifying the earth around him. He was highly respected by his Robinwood community.
He was preceded in death by a sister and brother, Aline Tyler and Emmanuel Watson.
He is survived by his wife, Myra Watson, of Silver Creek; children and grandchildren, Ollie (Vella) Watson, of Silver Creek; Kevin (Therese and Monica) Watson, of Chicago, Ill.; Francine (Kyra, Zechariah) Watson, of Monticello; Keith (Amanda) Watson, of Syracuse, N.Y.; Stevie (Annie Neil, Phyallen, Jeileel, Zaphanya) Watson, of Silver Creek; Antwyn Watson, of Hattiesburg; Tiera (Micalis) Watson, of Chicago, Ill.; Claudetta (Patricia Sutton and Jacinta Curtis), Charles (JD) Price, Brenda (Lamont Samuel Taylor) Fuller, of Chicago, Ill.; Theresa (Tyla, Tora) Robinson, of Chicago, Ill.; and Anthony Price, of Chicago, Ill.
