Billy Clyde Keen, 72, of Monticello, graduated to his Heavenly Home, Monday, February 10, 2020, at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg. Billy was born November 17, 1947, to James Arthur and Ida Lee Keen in Mendenhall.
His homegoing service was held Thursday, February 13, 2020, at Monticello Pentecostal Church in Monticello, with graveside services at R.T. Robbins Memorial Cemetery in New Hebron. Rev. Glynn Hilton officiated the services. Moore Funeral Home of Hattiesburg was in charge of arrangements.
Billy was a member of Monticello Pentecostal Church. He worked in pest control over 20 years, retiring from Postive Pest Controll in 2005. He loved God, his family and his church. Billy was a happy, content person, and extended his love to everyone he met. He enjoyed life.
Preceding him in death were his parents, James Arthur and Ida Lee Keen; two brothers, Arthur Gene Keen and Hubert Gerald Keen; and five sisters, Irma Lee Cliburn, Jeanette Overby, Georgia Rome, Ruth Rome and Brenda Keen.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Robbins Keen of Monticello; one son, Chris (Sandra) Keen of Jayess; one daughter, Kimberly (Rock) Pittman of Madison; three grandchildren, Raley Keen, Morgan Keen and Brantley Pittman; two brothers, Larry (Debbie) Keen of Jackson and Tommy Dale (Jan) Keen of Hattiesburg; one sister, Glenda (James) Reese of Magee, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Garland Rome, David Rome, Duwaine Robbins, Trey Robbins, Clay Robbins and Curtis Lambert. Honorary Pallbearers were Larry Keen, Tommy Dale Keen, Danny Ray Robbins and Eric Ladd.
The family would like to express our appreciation to the staff of Lawrence County Nursing Center of Monticello, as well as those at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, for the special care given to Billy and their consideration to all of our family.
