Teachers, Administrator of the Year recognized at January School Board Meeting

TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATOR OF THE YEAR- The 2019-2020 Teachers of the year and Administrator of the Year were recognized at the Lawrence County School District Board Meeting held January 21. Pictured from left are Superintendent of Education Dr. Titus Hines, New Hebron Attendance Center Teacher of the Year Mrs. LeeAnn Stewart, Topeka-Tilton Attendance Center Teacher of the Year Mrs. Clancie Daley, Lawrence County High School Teacher of the Year Mr. Delton Eubanks, Lawrence County School District Administrator of the Year Mr. Cedric Collins, Rod Paige Middle School Teacher of the Year Mrs. Carla Bell, Monticello Elementary School Teacher of the Year Mrs. Wendy Dean, and Lawrence County Technical/Career Center Teacher of the Year Mrs. Roshanda Alexander. Rod Paige’s Mrs. Carla Bell was also recognized as Lawrence County School District Teacher of the Year. Bell and Collins will be recognized at the Teacher of the Year/Administrator of the Year Awards Luncheon, hosted by Mississippi Department of Education in April. 

Teachers of the Year for each school in the district, the Lawrence County School District Teacher of the Year, and the Lawrence County School District Administrator of the Year were recognized at the January School Board meeting held January 21. They are pictured above with Superintendent of Education Dr. Titus Hines. Congratulations to each of these and thank you for your dedication to quality education.
In Dr. Hines’s first meeting as Superintendent, many additional items of interest were discussed and approved. Board Officers for the year were elected as follows: Dr. Wesley Bridges, President;
Dr. Mark Herbert, Vice-President; and Curtis Alexander, Secretary. These are the same officers who served in these positions last year.
The School Board will hold their regular February meeting, Thursday, February 20, at 5:30 p.m. at the district office.
