Linda Haddox
Graveside services for Mrs. Linda Haddox were held Saturday, September 28, 2019, at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in New Hebron. God gave Mrs. Haddox, 64, her rest Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello. Reverend Gerald Whittington officiated.
Saulters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Linda Haddox was born April 8, 1955, in Crystal Springs to Jessie H. Armstrong, Jr. and Mary Helen Chandler Armstrong. Mrs. Haddon was a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bassfield. Linda loved her family and the outdoors. God gave her a heart for the needs and well-being of others. She was a blessing to all who knew her. Due to crippling arthritis, she spent her last few years in a nursing home, where she blessed the staff, residents and anyone who came through the doors with her kind words. She will be greatly missed and, as her nurse stated, “Linda was something else.”
She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie H. Armstrong, and mother, Mary Helen Armstrong, and one brother, James R. Armstrong.
Mrs. Haddox is survived by her husband, Wes Haddox of Carson; two sisters, Betty Ann McLeod (Norman) of Mendenhall and Laura M. Sample of Booneville, and two brothers, David R. Armstrong (Sharon) of Shivers and Donald D. Armstrong (Jeanette) of Sumrall.
