Tommy McSwain
Graveside services for Mr. Tommy McSwain were held Thursday, September 5, 2019, at the Scarborough Cemetery in Silver Creek. Mr. McSwain, 64, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello. Reverend Mike Sutton and Reverend Trey Spangler officiated.
Pallbearers were Austin Jenkins, George Kunkel, Ethan Jenkins, Jacob Anderson, Phil May and Logan Williamson. Honorary bearers were Bobby Jordan, Colby McSwain, Bailey McSwain, Gary Hartzog, Gary Bass, Lee Earls and Mike Clark.
Saulters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McSwain was born on April 13, 1955 in Lawrence County to Oscar T. Harvey, Jr. and Shirley Scarborough Harvey. Mr. McSwain was a pipeliner in pipeline construction. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; adopted mother and father, Jack McSwain and Phyllis McSwain, and his wife of 43 years, Joan O’Brian McSwain.
Mr. McSwain is survived by two sons, Jeremy McSwain of Silver Creek and Brad McSwain (Mandy) of Silver Creek; one daughter-in-law, Melissa Jenkins (George) of Sumrall; three grandchildren, Austin Jenkins, Bailey McSwain and Colby McSwain; one sister, Teresa Anderson (Gary) of Prentiss and two brothers, Randy Harvey of New Hebron and Michael Harvey of Silver Creek.
