Barbara Porter Evans

Ms. Barbara Porter Evans, 76, of Monticello, passed away April 28, 2019, at Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello. Ms. Barbara was born July 16, 1942, in Greenville to Eugene and Charlie Cassie Porter.
A memorial service will be held in Memphis, Tennessee, at a later date.
She was an Elvis loving, Pepsi drinking, Ole Miss fan. She loved to cross-stitch and go to all of the festivals and sell her things. She loved her church, church family, husband, sons, siblings and her sweet grandchildren. She instilled this love in her sons, Bobby Evans (Barbara) of Germantown, Tennessee, and the Reverend Michael Evans (Betty) of Monticello, and her four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Barbara retired from L&L Tool Company in Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings and her beloved husband, Bobby Wayne Evans.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Camp Wesley Pines in Hazlehurst.
