Gary S. Boutwell Sr.
Mr. Gary S. Boutwell Sr., 72, of Sontag, passed away on April 11, 2019, in Sontag. Gary was born October 23, 1946, in Brookhaven to Norris Pervis and Eunice Estell Seale Boutwell.
Services were held Monday, April 15, at Shiloh Baptist Church with graveside services following in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Ed King and Bro. Kendall Boutwell officiated the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Gary served as Lawrence County Constable for 20 years. He loved spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and loved church and all activities there. Gary was an avid knife collector. He also loved his farm, goats, all other animals and going to D&D Trade Days. One of his most favorite pass times was embarrassing his grandchildren on Facebook! He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Deanna Beaudry Boutwell of Sontag, son, Gary S. Boutwell Jr. and wife, Susan, of Brookhaven; daughter, Michele D`Antoni Smith and husband, Mitchell, of Brookhaven; brother, Maxie Boutwell and wife, Judy, of Sontag; grandchildren, Weston Boutwell and wife, Annie, Rachel Boutwell Brister and husband, Gage, Emily Grace Boutwell, Kyleigh Boutwell and Anna Beth Smith, and two great-grandchildren, Noah Brister and Joseph Boutwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
