Kenny Wayne Tanksley

Mr. Kenny Wayne Tanksley, 65, of Monticello, passed away March 7, 2019, at Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello. Kenny Wayne was born September 7, 1953, in Tylertown to Wayne T. and Alteen King Tanksley.
Services were held Saturday, March 9, 2019, at New Hope Baptist Church in Monticello, with graveside services following in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Kevin Crozier officiated the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Kenny Wayne retired from the Mississippi Wildlife Fisheries and Parks as a conservation officer for over three decades. He loved spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Tanksley of Monticello; mother, Alteen Tanksley of Monticello; son, Adam Tanksley (April) of Brookhaven; daughter, Hope Rushing (Jimmy) of Jayess; sister, Paulette Harrison (Wayne) of Jayess, and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
