Helen Jewel Blackwell

Mrs. Helen Jewel Blackwell, 76, of Monticello, passed away March 6, 2019, at Bedford Care Center in Hattiesburg. Helen was born June 8, 1942, in Hattiesburg to Charles Douglas and Easter Lillie Runnels White.
Services were held Friday, March 8, 2019, at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello. Graveside services followed in Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Phil Hemby and Bro. Jimmy Harvey officiated the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Morris Ellis Blackwell of Monticello; one son, Morris Dean Blackwell; one daughter, Marcia Denise Blackwell; two granddaughters, Nikki McGarrah and husband, Brad, and Charlie Brock; one grandson, Blake Blackwell and wife, Leslie; great-grandson, Brent McGarrah; great-granddaughter, Carrigan Barnes; one sister, Joann McMillian, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Easter Lillie Runnels White.
