Jeanne Cheryl McGrew

Cheryl McGrew, 72, was called home February 18, 2019, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, surrounded by loved ones. Cheryl was born February 13, 1947 in Lawrence County to Walter Max and Gladys Neal.
Cheryl worked as a Nurse for over 25 years caring for others. She was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was loved and will be missed by many.
Cheryl would like you to know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of offer you can’t refuse, an appointment from which she will not be returning. The bonus she will receive is a reunion of family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Cheryl’s new assignment will take her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing and cooking to her heart’s content. Cheryl was a wonderful cook!
Cheryl spent the last few months of her life in Wisconsin with her son, Greg, and his family. That time will be forever treasured by them.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 4, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Monticello, with graveside services following in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Cemetery in Monticello. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Cheryl is survived by her son, Greg Sanders (Eileen) of Wisconsin; brother, Roger Neal (Lou) of Monticello; sister, Rita Wallace (Audie) of Monticello, and grandchildren, Maggie and Michael Sanders of Wisconsin and Logan Sanders of Meadville. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other loving family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Walter Max and Gladys Neal; son, Walter “Scotty” Sanders, and husband, Frank McGrew.
