Ann Bartlett Montagne

Ms. Ann Bartlett Montagne, 81, of Monticello, formerly of Houston, Texas, passed away December 21, 2018, at Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello.
Ann was born January 17, 1937, to Dr. Henry Leigh Bartlett, from Winona, and Valine Bass Bartlett, from Dallas, Texas. While growing up, she enjoyed designing her own clothes, engaging in various musical performances, and attending Episcopal Church Camp.
After graduating in 1959 from the Rice Institute in Houston, Texas, Ann devoted the next years of her life to being an Army wife and the mother of two children. When her children were grown, she practiced real estate in the Houston area. Later, she kept people in the corporate world organized with her many office skills. An avid reader and accomplished cook, she continued to love to read cookbooks long after she had much wherewithal to get in the kitchen.
Ann is survived by her son, Michael Montagne (Tammy) of Houston, Texas; daughter, Laura Magee (Kevin) of Monticello; sister, Diana Bender (Robert) of Washington, Texas, and grandchildren, Joshua, Julie, David (Sarah), Timothy, Abigail, Elijah, Ruth, Caleb, Hannah, Malachi, Faith and Deborah. She was preceded in death by her parents.
