Pauline Barnes Stringer

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 15, 2018, at China Lee M.B. Church in Silver Creek for Mrs. Pauline Barnes Stringer, 78, who died Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello. Rev. Dr. Edward J. Earl officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pauline Barnes Stringer, 78, was born to the late F.B. and Sarah Martin Barnes. She was married to Adrell Stringer and to this union six children were born. She was a member of China Lee M.B. Church, where she was a member of the Mother Board and Senior Choir President. She worked at Kellwood Company until it closed.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Yvonnie Stringer; sister, Mary Barnes, and four brothers, Johnny Barnes, Willie Barnes, Jimmie Barnes and Wardell Barnes.
She is survived by her husband, Adrell Stringer, Sr.; five children, Adrell (Dalneva) Stringer of Nashville, Tennessee, Carlos Stringer, Detric Stringer, Candies Stringer and Paula Stringer, all of Monticello; two brothers, Mitchell Barnes of Silver Creek and Elijah Barnes of Columbia; seventeen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two devoted nieces, Rochelle Daniels and Ann Dagons, and a sister-in-law, Maxine Barnes.
