Judith Ann Wilson Yelverton
Ms. Judith Ann Wilson Yelverton, 77, passed away November 14, 2018, at her residence in Monticello. Judy was born January 5, 1941 in Monticello to William Cicero and Lucille Berry Wilson.
Services were held Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, with graveside services following in Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Michael Smith officiated the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Judy was a matriarch in the community and her family. She cared for others’ wellbeing, whether it was her family, friends or a stranger in need. She also loved all of God’s beauty. Being out in her yard brought her great joy. Judy’s flowerbeds in the spring always put on a show to be enjoyed by all that saw them. If she wasn’t in the yard, she was always looking for a good fishing hole. She kept a beautiful home and had a lot of pride in cooking for her family and loved ones. Judy loved her children and grandchildren more than life itself, but loved her Lord and Savior most of all. She will be greatly missed, but we have comfort knowing she is sitting at the hand of Jesus with her parents and brothers.
Judy is survived by her children, Craig Sanders (Barbara) of Flowood and daughter Pam Wilson (Mark) of Florence, and her grandchildren, Ryan Roberts, Tyler Sanders and Shelby Ezell (Cody).
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Bobby Carol, William Jerry and Berry Douglas Wilson.
