Shirley Herrington

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Herrington were held Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Nola Baptist Church in Monticello, with burial following in the Nola Cemetery. Bro. Danny Woods officiated the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Shirley, 82, of Monticello, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at St. Dominic’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 26, 1935, in Hazlehurst to Will Roy and Roberta Armstrong. She enjoyed attending church, anything outdoors, and reading, but most of all she enjoyed her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ed Herrington; daughter, Fay Rushton; her three sisters, Willie Jean Herrington, Mary Ann Styron and Marie Herrington, and two brothers, Johnny Armstrong and Bobby Armstrong.
Survivors are her daughters, Lisa Vincent and stepdaughter, Janet Hutchins and husband, Daniel; grandchildren, Michael Thames and wife, Renee, Shane Harris, Crystal Begnaud and husband, Joe, and Samantha Shepherd and husband, Brad; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Janci, Jayden, Styles, Casey, Zeigan, Christian, Ava, Haygen, Tyne and Kiley and a host of family and friends.
