Gladys King Neal

Gladys King Neal, 92, was called home from this life April 29, 2018, at her residence in Monticello. Gladys was born March 24, 1926 in Lawrence County to John Allen and Alice Jordan King.
Services were held Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Monticello, with graveside services following in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Monticello. John Davis and Bro. Stan Lobin officiated the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Gladys retired from Kellwood Manufacturing after 20 years. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving Gladys are her children, Roger Neal (Lou) of Monticello, Cheryl McGrew of McComb and Rita Wallace (Audie) of Monticello; grandchildren Kenny Neal, Joseph Neal (Susan), Tina Kirkland (Wayne), Robin Lambert and Greg Sanders (Eileen); 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John Allen and Alice Jordan King; husband, Walter Max Neal; grandson, Scotty Sanders; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
