Sarah B. Laird

Sara B. Laird, 72, of D’Lo, passed away Monday at Bedford Nursing Home in Mendenhall. She was born Saturday, August 4, 1945, in Sumrall.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Mendenhall City Cemetery. Bro. Julian Davis officiated. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Laird was preceded in death by her parents, Leotha Burkett and Ruth Burkett, and brother, Robert Burkett.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Fred Laird of D’Lo; son, Michael Laird of New Orleans, Louisiana, and sisters, Betty Catt and Shelia Bourn (David).
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1380 Livingston Lane, Jackson, MS 39213 or Main Street Baptist Church in Mendenhall. Ask for The Gideons.
