George Myron Lee
George Myron Lee went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, April 18, 2018, after a life full of laughter and love. Myron graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 1952. In 1958, Myron opened Lee’s Drugstore in New Hebron, where he would spend the next forty-nine years serving his beloved community as a Pharmacist. He was a dedicated member of New Hebron Baptist Church, where he served in many areas, including Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Interim Music Director. He was very active in many civic duties, including Alderman, School Board Member, Bank Board Member, Hospital Board Member and numerous other areas. Myron also enjoyed being involved in the Masonic Lodge, where he served in many roles including District Deputy Grand Lecturer of the Grand Lodge of Mississippi, as well as Master of his local chapter, New Hebron Lodge #508.
Myron was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Myrtis Lee; brother, Charles Everett Lee and son, Paul Wayne Lee. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dot; brother, James (Shirley); sister-in-law, Mildred; children, David (Jane), Mark (Holly), Greg (Pam), Mitchell (Angie) and Michael (Amy); thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Saulters-Moore Funeral Services in Prentiss. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 21, at New Hebron Baptist Church, followed by a graveside service at Whitesand Baptist Church cemetery.
Myron’s nine grandsons served as pallbearers: Zach Lee, Adam Lee, Nick Lee, Ethan Lee, Haegan Lee, Jarrod Lee, Barrett Lee and Grayson Lee. Honorary pallbearer was Cameron Lee.
