Jimmie Dale “J.D.” Johnson

Mr. Jimmie Dale “J.D.” Johnson, 78, was called home from this life on Monday, March 5, 2018, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. He was born June 15, 1939 in Lawrence County to George and Eula Mae Lambert Johnson.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Powell’s Grove Pentecostal Church with graveside services in the church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Surviving him are his wife, Ola Mae Thornhill Johnson; daughter, Carol Blackwell and husband, Russell Martin; sons, Terry Johnson and wife, Amy, and Jimmie Dale (J.R.) Johnson Jr.; seven grandchildren, Travis Blackwell and wife, Amy, Amy Smith and husband, Rich, Steven Miller and wife, Bailey, Tracey Miller, Alaina Miller, Dustin Johnson and Kasi Johnson Davis and husband, Austin Davis; two great-grandchildren, Henry Vaden Blackwell and Charli Rose Davis and one sister, Faye Holley.
Preceding him in death are his parents and several brothers and sisters.
