Chrysteene Dickerson Cody

Funeral services for Mrs. Chrysteene Cody were held Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Crooked Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Cody passed away from this life Friday, February 23, 2018, at St. Dominic’s hospital in Jackson. Reverend Chad Carney and Dr. Dave Caves officiated and interment was in the Pleasant Hill B.C. Cemetery.
Saulters Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Buddy Dickerson, Vander Turnage, Zane Armstrong, Alan Corkern, Dale Daniels, Jimmy Haley, Jeff Haley and Anthony Walker.
Honorary pallbearers were Michael Dean, Scott Smith, Alex Corkern and Jr. “Boog” Stephens.
Mary Chrysteene Dickerson Cody was born June 20, 1932 in Shivers to Sydney Lafayette Haley and Lessie Elizabeth Sills Haley. She retired as a Supervisor from the New Hebron Manufacturing Company. She was a member for 52 years at the Crooked Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sydney Haley; mother, Leslie Dunaway; husband, James “Buster” Dickerson; son, Seth Thomas Dickerson; sister, Betty Daniels; brother, Jeff “Baby” Haley and husband, H.C. Cody.
Mrs. Cody is survived by her son, Jimmy Dickerson (MaryAnne) of Brandon; daughters, Mary Algina and Rita Dickerson, both of New Hebron; James Elbert Haley (Nelson) of Flowood and Laurene Stephens of New Hebron.
