Conley W. Peavy

Funeral services for Mr. Conley W. Peavy were held Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, with burial following in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lawrence County.
Mr. Peavy, 78, of Monticello, passed from this life on Sunday, December 24, 2017, at his son’s home with his loving family by his side. He was born on April 25, 1939, in Lincoln County, to Edward and Fleda Bunyard Peavy. He served his country in the US Army; was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church; worked for the US Postal Service where served as the Post Master of the Jayess Post Office; and enjoyed his cows, gardening and spending time with his family. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife of 54 years, Peggy Pennington Peavy; one brother and one sister.
Survivors are his son, Benji Peavy and wife Beverly of Lawrence County; daughter, Pollyanna Peavy Temple and husband David of Osyka; grandchildren, Jake Wilson and wife Jennifer, Elizabeth Wilson McDaniel and husband John, Joseph Peavy and wife Audrey, Tanner Peavy and wife Brittany and Jesse Peavy; eight great-grandchildren; one brother; two sisters and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Rusty Garrett, Phillip Russell, Matt Hill, Roger Wilson, Kyle Rodrigeuz and Jake Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Peavy, Tanner Peavy and Jesse Peavy.
