Robert Lee Carr
Robert Lee Carr, 77, passed from this life on Sunday, December 10, 2017, at Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello. Robert was born August 12, 1940 in Monticello to Tink and Doris Carr.
Services were held Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello with graveside services following in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello. Bro. Richard Cothern officiated the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Robert served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of New Life Church in Monticello. Working in the yard, pushing a lawn mower was his favorite pastime. He loved to get in a car and explore new roads. His saying was, “It will come out somewhere.”
Surviving Robert are three children, Darlene Cothern and husband Richard of Jayess, Wayne Bourn and wife Gayle of Hammond, Louisiana and Jimmy Bourn of McComb; five stepchildren, Joey Jackson and wife Theresa of Silver Creek, Dale Baldwin of Monticello, Janice Russell of Florida, Tony Baldwin and wife Susan of Kentucky and Peggy Adams of Arkansas; three sisters, Sarah White of Monticello, Judy Holmes and husband Oscar of Monticello and Lisa Oliver and husband David of Monticello; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A very special thanks to Ella Brown for her care and for being a second mother to our loved one.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Tink and Doris Carr; wife, Jean Carr; a sister, Jacqueline Morgan and a stepson, Troy Jackson.
