Catherine Hammond

Funeral services for Catherine Hammond were held Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Divide Methodist Protestant Church Cemetery in Monticello. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Catherine, 78, of Jayess, passed from this life on November 30, 2017, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Mrs. Hammond was born on September 27, 1939, in Monticello to James R. and Ola Ballard Nelson.
She is survived by her son, Wyman Eugene Hammond; two grandchildren, Eugene and Joshua Hammond and three great-grandchildren, Raylon, Avalon and Brekken Hammond, all of Jayess.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dudley Hammond; sister, Opalene Boyd and two brothers, James “Bud” Nelson and Prentiss Nelson.
