Linda “Jan” Rushing Thornhill

Linda “Jan” Rushing Thornhill, 71, was called home from this life on November 5, 2017, in Jayess. Linda was born October 11, 1946 in Pascagoula to Chance and Bertha Turnage Rushing.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jayess and continuing Friday, November 10, 2017 from 9 a.m. until service time at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Pentecostal Church with graveside services following in Calvary United Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Jayess. Bro. Ray Bowling will officiate the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Jan will be remembered as a very caring and loving person to others. She enjoyed helping people to see them smile and be happy.
Surviving Jan are her husband, Carey Thornhill of Jayess; daughters, Rhonda Hackett (Johnny) of Jayess; Karrie Lu Barkman (James) of Vidor, Texas; brothers, Freeman Rushing and Hilton Rushing, both of Moss Point; six grandchildren, Dallas Bryan, Somer Roll, Heather Lejune, Myca Bryan, Kaycee Mixon and Colton Hackett and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Bennie and Jimmy Rushing.
