Services for Catherine Brister Overstreet were held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service. Bro. Leon Holly officiated and interment was held at Riverwood Memorial Park.
Catherine, 83, went to be with her Lord on Sunday August 13, 2017 at her residence in Eclectic, Alabama. She was born on April 10, 1934 to W.L. and Katie Davis Brister in Brookhaven. She was a devoted member of Sandtuck Baptist Church in Alabama, and was a retired Nurse’s Assistant from the Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello. Her happiest times were when she was with her family. Catherine was a loving, caring lady who will be missed by all who knew her.
Catherine is survived by her daughters, Debra Overstreet Lockett and husband John of Biloxi, Wanda Overstreet Childs and husband David of Wesson, and Cathy Overstreet Lamberth and husband Alan of Eclectic; 3 sisters; 2 brothers; 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Brady Overstreet; son, Baby Overstreet; grandson, Jeffrey Rollins; four sisters and four brothers.
