Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille M. Hendrix were held Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchex Drive) in Brookhaven with burial following in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrence County. Brookhaven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hendrix, 64, of Amite, Louisiana, was called home Friday, August 11, 2017 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 5, 1953 in Brookhaven to Jesse Mohon and Eva Mae Fuller Mohon. She was a member of Nola Baptist Church in Nola. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, fishing and gardening in her flower beds. Mrs. Hendrix was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers, Larry Mohon and Robert Mohon.
Survivors are her significant other, John Mayfield; daughters, Ruby Cartwright and husband Kevin of Brookhaven, Debra Hendrix and Eva Hendrix, both of Amite, Louisiana and LaWanda Hendrix of North Carolina; former husband, Jim E. Hendrix; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers and a host of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lucille M. Hendrix’s name may be made to Americare Hospice of Covington, Louisiana.
