Neoma Lare’ Everett
Funeral services for Neoma Lare’ Everett were held Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Sontag. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Graveside services followed at the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
Brother Ed King and Brother Andy Fullington were the officiating ministers.
Mrs. Everett, of Sontag, passed from this life on July 29, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was born March 13, 1942 in Denham Springs, Louisiana.
Lare’ was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and loved her church family. She enjoyed flowers of all kinds and loved to garden and work outside and go to craft shows. She was helpful and generous to friends and family. Her name is Neoma Lare’, but she was known as wife, mother and Maw-Maw. She loved her grandchildren and was always there for them. Her grandson, Cody Everett, says, “The best mother God could have chosen for my Dad and his sisters…and the best wife God could have chosen for my Grandpa.”
She is survived by her husband, James Everett of Sontag; son, Dean Everett and wife Vickie of Watson, Louisiana; daughter, Tracey Parham and husband James of Watson, Louisiana; daughter, Julie Roberts and husband Butch of Gonzales, Louisiana; one brother, Gordon Allen of Montrose, Colorado; ten grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Irene Carney Allen and one brother, Doug Allen.
