W.T. (Dub) Rayborn
W.T. (Dub) Rayborn, 86, loving husband to Ann Rayborn, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at University Medical Center New Orleans.
Mr. Rayborn was born August 5, 1930 in Jayess to T.C. and Luciette Rayborn.
Mr. Rayborn was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War and worked for United Gas for 33 years until retirement. He was a member of The First Baptist Church of LaPlace where he also served as a Deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, T.C. and Luciette Rayborn; his stepmother, Eliza Rayborn; one brother, Sherrod Rayborn and two sisters, Aileen Rayborn Summerall and Wilene Rayborn Alexander.
Mr. Rayborn is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ann Terrell Rayborn of LaPlace, Louisiana; three sons, Gary Rayborn (Jodie) of Jackson, Louisiana, Keith Rayborn (Terri) of Zachary, Louisiana and Brian Rayborn (Lisa) of Silver Creek; one daughter, Cindy Rayborn of Lafayette, Alabama; one sister-in-law, Madeliene Rayborn of Monticello; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Derek Rayborn, Kyle Rayborn, Steven Copeland, Stephen Rayborn, Noah Nichols and Kevin Rayborn.
Services were held May 17, 2017 at First Baptist Church of LaPlace under the direction of Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit. Graveside services and interment were held at Greer Cemetery in Jayess.
