Lola Faye Lambert
Funeral services for Lola Faye Lambert, 84, were held Monday, April 3, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church in Monticello, with burial following in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Tim Hudson officiated the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lambert, of Monticello, passed from this life on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Brook Manor Living Center in Brookhaven with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 23, 1932 in Lawrence County to William Elisha and Maggie King.
Mrs. Lambert was retired from Kellwood Manufacturing after twenty years. She enjoyed cooking and serving on New Hope Church Hostess committee. She loved gardening and growing flowers and always made time for fishing. As special as these things were to her, they never came before her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Elisha and Maggie King; two brothers, Dewey King and Clell King and one sister, Tera Griffith.
She is survived by her husband, John Douglas Lambert of Monticello; her son, Ricky Lambert and wife Brenda of Monticello; her daughters, Sandra Simpson and husband Richard of Quitman and Debbie Beeson and husband Reece of Bogue Chitto; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; and brothers, Arthur King, Elzen King and Carl King and sister, Ruth Smith, all of Monticello.
