Cheryl Ann “Sherry” Rushing

Funeral services for Cheryl Ann “Sherry” Rushing were held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, with burial following in the Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello. Elder Rickey Myers officiated the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Cheryl “Sherry” Rushing, 57, of Monticello, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at her residence in Monticello with her loving family by her side. She was born July 25, 1959 in Watertown, New York.
Sherry will be remembered by family and friends as a wonderful wife, mother and a terrific grandmother who loved her grandchildren dearly. She enjoyed visits with friends and family and taking trips with her husband. Her sweet smile will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Sills; her father, James Sills and two granddaughters, Alissa Ann Smith and Linda Elizabeth Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Michael Terry Rushing; daughters, Christy Rushing and Dwayne Maxwell of New Hebron and Ashley Rushing Smith and Keith of Monticello; son, Clint Rushing and Lakayla of Monticello; brothers, Mike Gaffney of Jackson, Patrick Gaffney and Angie of Sontag and Eddie Sills and Lee of Monticello; one sister, Jo Hyde of Monticello; seven grandchildren, Rebecca Satterley, Erica Satterly, Breeland Maxwell, Kaleeonna Rushing, Jalynn Rushing, Wyatt Rushing and Hayden Smith and one great-granddaughter, Isabella Satterley.
