Ethel Mae Grinstead

Mrs. Ethel Mae Grinstead, 67, died Thursday morning, March 9, 2017 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Memorial services for Mrs. Grinstead were held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Prentiss, with Brother Wyman Mobley officiating. Laird Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Grinstead was the daughter of the late Josephus Bridges and the late Viola Brewer Bridges of Silver Creek. As a young woman, she attended school in Lawrence County, prior to working for fifteen years at Kellwood sewing factory in Monticello. Mrs. Grinstead met and married the love of her life in 1969, Lee Charles (L.C.) Grinstead of Silver Creek, and to this union three sons were born.
Mrs. Grinstead’s survivors include her husband, L.C. Grinstead of Silver Creek; three sons, Gary Grinstead of Tylertown, Wayne Grinstead of Wesson and Johnny Grinstead of Silver Creek; six sisters, Gloria Toney, Verlean Newsome, Sarah Diggs, Belma Stanfield, Ethel Brown and Kathy Montgomery; four grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.
