Leslie “Junior” Buchanan

Leslie “Junior” Buchanan, 83, was called home from this life on Monday, March 6, 2017, at University Medical Center in Jackson. Junior was born February 12, 1934 in Lawrence County to Leslie F. Buchanan and Ida Morris Buchanan.
Services for Mr. Buchanan were held Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticello. Graveside services followed in Buchanan Family Cemetery. Bro. Paul Stephens and Bro. James McKneely, Sr. presided over the services. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Buchanan is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Mullins Buchanan of Monticello; three daughters, Rhonda Gentry and husband Keith of Braxton, Melissa “Missy” Jones and husband Neil of Monticello and Shanta Killingsworth and husband Keith of Monticello; one sister, Earlene Howell of Monticello; six grandchildren, Trey Faust, Blake Faust, Matthew Jones, Andrew Jones, Amber Allen and Alaina Killingsworth and ten great-grandchildren, Brodie, Cash, Daxton, Kyla, Angeline, Luke, Lane, Syler, Salem and Hank.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Leslie and Ida Buchanan; three brothers, Elzy, Delmus and Altus Jewel Buchanan and one great-grandchild, Kayleigh.
