Dorothy Nell Henceroth

Dorothy Nell Henceroth, 88, was called home from this life on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello. Dorothy was born November 13, 1928 in Sontag to Jesse and Susie Honea Douglas.
Services were held Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Sontag, with graveside services following in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Ed King officiated with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the services.
Dorothy was retired from Lawrence County School, where she taught 1st grade. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her church family. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Surviving Dorothy are her children, Joy Langley and husband Donald of Sontag, Kenneth Cummings of Cedarville, Arkansas and Jesse Cummings of Bossier City, Louisiana; step-daughter, Kathy Henceroth Smith of Bassfield; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Jesse and Susie Honea Douglas; husband, William Henceroth; one son, Danny Cummings; sisters, Frances Salley and Christine Roberts; four half-brothers, Herbert Douglas, Ben Douglas, William Douglas and Dick Douglas and four half sisters, Inez Phillips, Charlene Henslee, Ruby Cagle and Jewel Bounds.
