Lindy Shay Brister Daughdrill

Funeral services for Mrs. Lindy Shay Brister Daughdrill of Brookhaven were held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at New Hope Methodist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Daughdrill, 38, passed away October 12, 2016 at her home. She was born on September 12, 1978.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Andy Daughdrill; father, Barry Brister; mother, Karen Smith; daughter, Presley Faith Daugdrill and brothers, B.B. Brister and wife Amanda and Kelsey Garrett Smith. She is also survived by her stepfather, Bobby Smith and stepmother, Virginia Brister and grandmother, Mary Ellen Kimble.
Charles Ray Powell
Charles Ray Powell, Sr., 89, was called home from this life on Sunday, October 9, 2016, at his residence in Jayess, MS. Mr. Powell was born on August 4, 1927, in Jayess, MS, to the late Oliver and Louetta Boyd Powell. 
Mr. Powell was a member of Topeka Baptist Church in Jayess, MS. He served his country in the US Navy. He worked as a tool pusher in the oil industry for 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cattle farming and spending time with his family. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, paw paw, great paw, uncle and friend. 
Surviving Charles Ray are his children, Patricia Gummoe (Will) of Vacaville, CA, Charlie Powell (Wanda) of Jayess, Richard Powell (Mary) of Jayess, Marsha Everett (Al) of Jayess, Donna Small (Mike) of Sontag, Wayne Powell (Genie) of Jayess and Renee Smith of Jayess. He is also survived by his sister, Nell Lee of West Monroe, LA. He leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his wife, Bennie Lee Powell, his brothers, Alton Powell and Otis Powell, his sisters, Marjorie Brown, Olline Jacobs and Mary Immogene Powell and his son-in-law, Dale Smith. 
The funeral was held Saturday, October 15, 2016 with interment at Powell Family Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
