Altus “Jewel” Buchanan, 84, was called home from this life on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello. Jewel was born June 3, 1932 in Lawrence County to Leslie F. and Ida Morris Buchanan.
Funeral services were held at Bethel Baptist Church on Friday, June 10, 2016 with graveside services following in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Michael Smith officiated the services. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
