Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Cox Chapel in Oak Grove, La. for Vernice Thames, 83, of Monticello, who passed away on July 19 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven. Rev. Mike Ray officiated with interment following in Forest Corner Cemetery. Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove was in charge of arrangements.
