Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at New Zion M. B. Church, Oakvale, for Verna Matthews Ford, 99, who died Wednesday, December 12, at Jefferson Davis Community ECF, Prentiss. Rev. Aaron Thompson officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
